Friday September 3, to Sunday September 5,  2010, The Inland Empire West Area H&I 20th Annual Labor Day Marathon, at 2180 W. Valley Blvd., Pomona, CA. This is a three day event that includes Meetings, Karaokee, BBQ, Speaker Meeting and Dance on Saturday, Meeting in Espanol on Sunday, Men’s Meeting, Women’s Meeting, Closing Meeting, and Workshops in between. Saturday, September 4, 2010, The Greater Hollywood Area Labor Day Picnic in the Park, at 5202 Zoo Drive, Los Angeles, Ca. Event starts at 10 am and ends at 5 pm. Bring a blanket, chair or your bike. Food for sale!

Featuring a Speaker Meeting and Crazy Hat Party. Speaker Meeting starts at 6 pm. followed by the dance from 8 ~ 11 pm. Dress to Impress. Dance donation is $7.

Saturday, September 25, 2010, The Inland Empire Foothills Area Annual Picnic at Sylvan Park, at 400 N. University Street, Redlands, CA. 92374. Picnic from 11 am until 4:30 pm. Food served from noon ‘til 1:30 and will cost $4/adult and $2 if you are under 10 yrs. old. Horseshoe Tournament $5.

Saturday, September 25, 2010, The San Fernando Valley Presents Summer Madness Dinner, Meeting and Dance, at 4390 Colfax Ave., Studio City, CA. 91604. Dinner starts at 6 pm., meeting 7-8:30, then dance from 9 ‘til 11:45. Dinner and Dance tickets are $20 (only 170 will be sold), and the Dance alone will cost you $10. September 17, 18, and 19, 2010, The Southern California Regional 13th Annual Regional Campout, at Yucaipa Regional Park, 33900 Oak Glen Road, Yucaipa, CA. 92399. Hiking, Biking, Camping, Fishing Meetings, Games, Food and Family Fun. There is a lot of things happening at this annual event. Bring your own chair and firewood. Starting at 11 am with Guided Meditation, 12:30 pm lunch (hot dog and hamburger $5 donation) 4 pm. Closing Meeting and Games all day long. NA sand sculpture contest.

CONVENTION OPPORTUNITIES

Seeking Speakers for the San Fernando Valley Area Convention 16 in January 2010.  Are you interested in speaking at SFVACNA 16 in Burbank? Have someone in mind? Main Speaker will have minimum 10 years clean. Workshop Speaker minimum 3 years clean. CD’s must be submitted by September 11, 2010 for consideration and all submissions become the property of SFVACNA.

A CALL TO SERVICE

Southern California Regional Board of Directors is currently seeking members for the following commitments: Office Manager and Assistant Merchandise Chair. If you have at least 5 years clean and have some business experience there is a opportunity to learn about overseeing and serving a not for profit organization.

If so please download and make copies of the insurance waiver for the event participants. The event insurance does not cover any type of sporting activities. Please keep in mind that if the waiver is for a minor, the parent or guardian must be a  signer on this document.

The Southern California Region Activities Committee Narcotics Anonymous Calendar.
Here is the activities calendar for scheduled, upcoming, area and regional  activity dates. If your committee is thinking of planning an event at the regional level this is the first step in planning the date. Dates are assigned at the regional activities meeting held on the first Wednesday at 7:30 pm. at the regional service office.
